| First off your post mentions nothing of you smoking coming from your exhaust. If you claimed there was oil in 2 and 4 cylinders than you would be billowing white smoke like crazy out the back of your exhaust. No mention of that in your post. So right there would tell me that you probably do not know what you are doing when it comes to these VG motors. What were your numbers on the compression check?
Leak down?
Did you change your valve seals?? There are only 3 ways that oil can get into the cylinder
1 through valve seals
2 past the rings and
3 head gasket is bad thats it.
Do not sweat it man.
It is probably something you overlooked. Ticking is probably the lifters. Did you break them apart and cleaned them? Get all the old oil out? Did you make sure the cam journals went back together right?
I bet you anything that the heads might be your problem.
ticking? oil in cylinders 2 and 4 hmmmm sounds like you might need head work in the worst way.
